Poster Presentation of BALLView Raytracing Capabilities
On ISMB/ECCB 2009 in Stockholm the BALLView team presented some of the raytracing capabilities which are currently scheduled for inclusion.
In a development branch the RTfact library, as an alternative to standard rasterization based rendering approaches, has been interfaced with BALLView allowing for the real time generation of publication quality images.
On the ISMB/ECCB 2009 we presented some of the benefits in form of a poster. Now there is a video available on http://www.scivee.tv/node/12150where Anna Katharina Dehof and Lukas Marsalek give a short talk accompanying the posters. Including raytracing of volume data like electrostatic potentials.
